@courtneys203 Hey, don’t worry. I was scared for my first tattoo, I got a rib tatt ( One of the worst spots. ) Drink some soda like 20 minutes before ( for sugar ) EAT SOMETHING! It helps as well. I pass out from getting a shot haha, and this was simple. It’s more of a burn. Like getting a sunburn then getting it slapped. It’s not bad. I kind of like how it feels. I’m 19, and I have 3 now, going for 3 more on my neck this weekend. =] Make sure it has meaning, and u will love the whole expirence

@TheReden94 I just got my first tattoo yesterday. I got it on my upper back…lyrics from a song with flowers vined through it. It goes across my back from one shoulder blade to the other…It’s wasn’t bad. I won’t lie and say it was painless, but not nearly as bad as people psych themselves up for.

I’ve wanted a angel wing tattoo for over a year now, but couldn’t find pictures online to support the image in my head. Then I stumbled upon you’re picture on Flickr. I was amazed. It’s so gorgeous. I decided to look on youtube, to see if I could find any neck tattoo’s being done, and look what I found! It’s you again! What a coincidence, right? Anyways, BEAUTIFUL tattoo, I really love it. It symbolizes so much in my eyes and hopefully i’ll be getting mines this April xxx

i have the same ed hardy poster! lol I’m thinking of getting mine on the back of my neck too. I hear it’s less painful than the foot (where i was going to originally place it).

If it's possible ask a male he looks up to to talk to him about it. While little boys respect their mothers they look to men to teach them how to be a man.

If there isn't anyone who can do this then I would say something like:

"It's a polite thing to do."
"Nice men let ladies go first."
"Sweetie, mommy likes it a lot when you let the ladies go first" (kids love to please)

I'm so happy to hear you are doing research about tattoo before you ask the question what tattoo should I get?-Yay

A good place to also look for inspirations and to find super amazing tattoo work is to look up good tattoo shop and artist websites and look at the artist portfolios- I would be looking at technique, style, colour, use of shading, negative vs. positive etc…
Find examples of techniques you like, you may not like/want the tattoo but the way it was done is something to look for. You can use the artist portfolios to get a better sense of what great tattoo artist are doing out in the world of tattoos-* but I warn it is in bad taste to rip off another artists work so only use the portfolios as inspiration-

so here are a few tattoo shop/ artist website I like
