Q&A: What do you think of back of the neck tattoos?

Question by Kelsey: What do you of of the neck tattoos?
I want to get a memorial tattoo on the back of my of the initials MJO. Do you think this is tacky? It wouldn’t be hard to cover up for work. I was also thinking about getting the initials on my ankle. Which would look better? Thanks

I think the one on your back would look better and it would be easier to hide at work. But it would probably hurt the most because of your spine.

if hiding them at work is a concern, then you are better off with the back. if u choose the ankle, you wont be able to wear shorts, capris, skirts, etc.

tacky and cheap all the way, really no one cares about what ur trying to do or say (when it comes right down to it)

back of your neck, but it’ll hurt more to get

If you’re worried about it looking tacky it all depends on the font style you chose. If it’s just block letters it’ll look weird, but if the font is too ornate it might be hard to read.
I think memorial tattoos are the best reasons to get them, but if I were you I would find something that represents the person you’re getting the tattoo for.
As for placement.. I think the back of the neck would be easiest to hide, but you’ll never see it unless you’re looking in the mirror, and the part I love most about my memorial tattoos is that I can see them.
Whatever you chose, I hope you love it =)

No Its not tacky especially if you find a creative way of doing it. [ex special lettering , color combos ,etc) && 2 reasons the way on your neck would be better :
#1 – its more noticeable & easier to cover up
    & #2 – a tatt on your ankle hurts like all get.out

I have a lotus on my back that has smoke and chinese symbols running up my neck into my hairline. It didnt hurt that bad, although everyone has a different pain tolerance and it is easy to cover up. Personally I dont like initials on the back of necks, I prefer symbols. I think it would be cute on your ankle, initials always look good there.

i think that would look great on the back of the neck. i have a nautical star with lil stars shooting out from it.

Pathetic, soft and stupid….that what it has become. From "Push in the back" rule…it is now "Hands on back" rule.

    Pharken disgrace, I hate it.
