I currently have to cover some medium size tattoos for a dance competition ,,i went to try dermablend and it isn’t that easy…it takes alot of coats then more powder.. and needless to say it does wear off on clothing even with setting powder ..it takes me over an hour to do one tattoo because you have to let it dry in between applications..but i will try the hairspray thingee hopefully that will help,,it will cover just not 100%
but it is a great foundation base and then use normal powder

    Thank you so much!
I needed to cover up my wings on my back for my sister’s wedding this month.
I’ll be sure to follow your procedures! Thanks again!

    Hi ,

I have a question to you.
Wich brand of make up do you use to cover up your tattoo ?
(I’m from Holland so probably my english isn’t so goed)
I hoop to hear from you

no one intends on covering them up until maybe their wedding day… which is my case. i have a big sunflower on my forearm and a large piece on my upper arm.

    great video =)

If I was going to make a fake video, I think I’d choose something a bit more exciting then covering a tattoo. lol. I’m quite shocked at how many “fake” comments I get here- it’s really not that hard to do, you can try it yourself and see! Just walk into any Sephora or Ulta and use the Dermablend testers. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick they cover color and black ink.

  12. kavicious says:

It’s actually a lot easier to cover up tattoos on darker skin, due to the fact that there’s less contrast between the darkness of the ink and the skin surrounding it. So it would be much easier to pull off this technique then on someone with say, ivory skin.

Sorry for the delay, haven’t logged in for a long time. I made my own concealer using mica, pigment, and a waxy cream-balm base. There are many similar formulas on the market though- look for anything that’s thick enough to be packaged in a pot. MAC makes a great one.

    Hi there….
I don’t really have any stretch marks that I can do a tutorial with, but I can tell you that I have some scars on my upper arm that are similar (long and thin), and the best way to cover that type of blemish is with a short-bristle concealer brush and stippling motions. Don’t cake it on, start light, and add layers as you go, and the finish should stay pretty natural.

I’d like to think that in today’s world, I can have my ink and still get whatever job I choose to or go out wherever I please without drawing stares. I also used this cover up on my wedding day…It’s meant for special occasions, not daily camo. Then, there wouldn’t be a point in having ink at all!

  16. kavicious says:

Like araitsanita said, Vichy labs manufactures a line for Dermablend that is primarily water-resistant. Exuviance Leg & Body Makeup is also water resistant (I prefer Dermablend though, because the colors by Exuviance don’t quite match my skin tone).

  17. kavicious says:

Exactly. For instance, I model from time to time, and tattoos are mostly acceptable, but there are some shoots (and lots of other jobs, like waitressing, or hosting) where they are not. And although they are primarily accepted in society, if I was going to dinner at say, The Four Seasons, I wouldn’t want to show my ink.

  18. accordingtosam says:

My thoughts exactly! I love my tattoos, but I’m an actress, so I can’t have them showing onstage.

  19. araitsanita says:

vichy labratories is a makeup line. they have camouflagae that also has a water proof pouder. ur local cvs might have it. but i checked online and they ddnt:[

a lot of times you get tattooed and then something comes up. No one gets a tattoo with an intention to cover it up.

  21. Freckles815 says:

Its not fake it works. You might need to cover your tatts up for work, like if you have them on your hands or neck. A lot of places wont take you on if you have tattoos. Nice Vid!

  22. punklover99 says:

    work?

  23. ffjdkaue says:

    not fake

  24. mothore says:

For a night? What are you doing at night that you need to conceal your ink? :P
