I would suggest looking to Dermablend. They specialize in covering tattoos, birthmarks and scars. I know for sure that they make dark shades and you would probably be able to find a shade that can work with your skin tone. They make a product called "Leg and Body Creme" which is meant for covering imperfections not on the face. (I'm assuming your tattoo isn't on your face!!)

The product is $18 at Ulta stores. Might be available at Sephora too; call around to see if they carry the line. I swear by Dermablend to cover up any imperfections, and the Leg and Body Creme has worked SO well for me!!

They suggest using their Setting Powder, which I haven't needed, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. I think it's about $20.

http://www.dermablend.com/productDetails.aspx?prodID=17

Check it out! Take a look at their other products too - so fun!

Hope this helped a bit! Please check it out, you really won't regret it.

Good luck with your audition!! Take care.
References :
Ben Nye makes stage makeup that is meant solely for the purposes of covering scars and tattoos. You can purchase it in a kit, it comes in powder and you can purchase it in a kit for dark skin (or you can find it seperately) It is created to withstand the heat created from stage lights

It's listed on the website as concealer. I've seen it used to cover up a tatoo before.
References :
I was a professional actress and took a stage make up class in college.
